Terms of Service.
Welcome to HumanizeHer! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and HumanizeHer (“we” or “us”) regarding your use of our website at www.humanizeher.com, our community and mobile app at community.humanizeher.com, and our podcast, events, and store (together, the “Services”). If you cannot agree to these Terms, please don’t use the Services.
A note on our platform: The HumanizeHer community and app at community.humanizeher.com are hosted and operated by Mighty Networks (Mighty Software, Inc.). By joining our community, you also agree to the Mighty Networks Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. If these Terms ever conflict with the Mighty Networks Terms of Use, the Mighty Networks Terms of Use govern, except with respect to content licenses.
How it works
HumanizeHer is a community and podcast dedicated to elevating women’s stories and building genuine connection through real conversations. Our community gives members a place to connect, message, share, and take part in events and discussions. Membership is currently free.
Who can join. You must be at least the age of majority where you live to create an account in the HumanizeHer community, consistent with the Mighty Networks Terms of Use.
Your account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password confidential. Your name and contact information are made available to us as the community host so we can run the community. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
HumanizeHer is a space of women supporting women, and we work to keep it welcoming and safe. When using the Services, you agree to follow the Mighty Networks Acceptable Use Policy, and in addition you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, demean, or discriminate against other members;
- Post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or misleading;
- Spam, solicit, or advertise without our permission;
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Services.
We may remove content or suspend or remove members who violate these Terms or harm the community. To report a concern about another member, contact us or Mighty Networks support at help@mightynetworks.com.
Closing your account
You may leave the HumanizeHer community or permanently delete your account and data at any time. Full step-by-step instructions for the app and web are on our Account & Data Deletion page. You may also request deletion by emailing Mighty Networks support at help@mightynetworks.com.
What you share
You keep ownership of the content you post in the HumanizeHer community — your posts, comments, photos, videos, and other material. By posting, you grant HumanizeHer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and share that content as needed to operate and promote the Services. Content you post is also subject to the content license in the Mighty Networks Terms of Use, which allows the platform to store and display it as part of running the community.
You are responsible for the content you post: make sure you have the rights to share it, and don’t post material that violates someone else’s intellectual property or privacy. You also agree not to copy, scrape, or reuse other members’ content without their permission, including for training AI systems.
What we create
The HumanizeHer name, logo, podcast episodes, video, artwork, and other materials are owned by HumanizeHer or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission, except as allowed by law. If you believe your intellectual property is being infringed within our community, you can submit a takedown request to legal@mightynetworks.com, and we will cooperate with the platform’s copyright process.
Your information
When you join the HumanizeHer community, you share personal information with us as the host, with other members (through your profile and activity), and with Mighty Networks as the platform provider. How that information is collected and used is described in the Mighty Networks Privacy Policy. We use member contact information only to communicate with you about the HumanizeHer community and related interests — we do not sell it.
Store and events
Membership in the HumanizeHer community is currently free. If you make a purchase through our store or register for a paid event, that purchase is subject to the pricing, availability, and any refund terms presented at checkout, and may also be subject to the payment terms of the platform processing it (such as Google Play or Mighty Networks).
Third-party services
The Services link to or run on third-party platforms — including Mighty Networks, Google Play, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and social networks. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for their practices or content.
No professional advice
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Content shared on the podcast or in the community — including career, financial, health, or legal topics discussed by hosts, guests, or members — is for general information and inspiration only and is not professional advice. We don’t guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for the conduct of members or third parties you encounter through the Services.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HumanizeHer and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Services is to stop using them.
Your responsibility
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HumanizeHer and its team from third-party claims and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Services, the content you post, your interactions with other members, or your breach of these Terms.
Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date and may notify you through the community. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree to a change, your remedy is to stop using the Services and close your account.
Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. We hope to resolve any concern informally first — please reach out before anything else. Disputes relating to the platform itself are subject to the dispute-resolution terms in the Mighty Networks Terms of Use.
